HR & Business Offices

The Business Office is responsible for the development and administration of annual operating budget and financial reporting. In addition, the business office supervises accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll/personnel functions, human resources, transportation services, the food service operation, the facility, grounds, and vehicular assets, and the district's insurance program.
 

Payroll & Benefits

 
Assabet's Payroll Coordinator sends all staff the payroll calendar at the start of each school year. Open Enrollment for school year benefits is typically held in May, and Open Enrollment for calendar year flexible  spending accounts (FSA) is typically held in November. Some voluntary plans can be enrolled in at any time. 
 
Assabet offers a variety of cost-shared employment benefits including HMO and PPO plans to choose from with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, a dental plan with Blue Cross Blue Sheild, and voluntary employee paid plans such as Vision with EyeMed, STD with Colonial, and LTD with Mosse and Mosse. 

All staff/faculty who are employed by Assabet are eligible to participate in a 403(b) plan upon date of hire. 
  
Staff and faculty at Assabet also are able to take advantage of the public services offered by some of our vocational programs, such as getting an oil change while you work or having lunch in the Epicurean. Employee health and wellness events and flu shot clinics are held regularly, as well as staff appreciation week in the spring.
