MCJROTC
Leadership Education, more commonly referred to as Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (MCJROTC), are courses offered in the academic program. The MCJROTC’s focus is reflected in its mission statement, “to develop character and citizenship in the youth of America.” It prepares high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens.

Students who choose to enroll and take MCJROTC Leadership classes are not obligated to join the Marine Corps or any other branch of service. Students must, however, accept Marine Corps standards of discipline, appearance, and training.
This is a nationally recognized program that has received accreditation by the Commission of International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). It is designed to instill in high school students a sense of the value of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility, ethics, and honor.
